ConnectSphere — Smart Student Matcher

Inspiration 🌟

In every college, students struggle to find the right people for collaboration — whether it’s for studying, projects, events, competitions, or even sharing similar interests. Many talented students remain disconnected simply because there is no simple platform that intelligently matches them based on skills, interests, goals, and availability.

This inspired me to build ConnectSphere, a smart student-matching platform designed to bring the right people together at the right time. My goal was to reduce the gap between “I want to do something” and “I found the right partner to do it with.”

What it does 🚀

ConnectSphere helps students connect effortlessly by:

• Matching students based on shared interests (coding, dance, sports, clubs, arts, etc.)
• Showing compatibility based on skills and learning preferences
• Letting users explore people nearby in the same campus
• Allowing students to create profiles and connect instantly
• Providing a clean, modern, and engaging UI/UX

It acts like a smart networking tool for college students — simple, helpful, and fast.

How I built it 🛠️

I built ConnectSphere using Base44 no-code builder, focusing deeply on:

• A clean and smooth UI/UX
• Creating smart profile fields for meaningful matching
• Designing pages that feel like a real social discovery platform
• Ensuring everything is simple enough to demo during the hackathon
• Adding extra features like explore page, interests-based filtering, etc.

Challenges I ran into ⚠️

Some challenges I faced during development:

• Integrating API/automation was complex in the limited time
• Managing everything alone without team support
• Designing a UI that looks modern and hackathon-ready
• Making the idea look complete even without backend matching logic

Despite challenges, I focused on delivering a solid concept, polished design, and a working prototype.
