Inspiration

I wanted to build a chat app that not only allows you to chat with people but also links like-minded people together

What it does

It allows you to create a profile showing your interests, bio, and contact links. The interests are then used to search up people with similar interests. The more your interests align with a person's interest their search ranking will be higher. You can create chat rooms and join chatrooms by typing in the chatroom password. You can invite people to one of your chatrooms after searching them up

How we built it

I used React js, html, css and Firebase

Challenges we ran into

Creating a chat room system where you can create multiple chatrooms and invite multiple people to it

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of creating the chatroom system as well as creating the profile system to allow similar interest search

What we learned

I learned how to better implement chatrooms

What's next for Connectron

Improving ui and implementing an easier invite system as well as increasing the number of interests and profile content types
