The genesis of ConnectLocal stems from a common challenge – the struggle to discover local events, exacerbated by the difficulty in finding suitable hackathons. Frustrated by this limitation, we envisioned a broader solution, an all-encompassing platform that seamlessly connects communities through a shared space for events, offers, and disaster alerts.
What it does
ConnectLocal transcends the conventional event-sharing platform. It serves as a dynamic hub, offering real-time insights into the pulse of a locality. Beyond event listings, it provides crucial information on events, local festivals, offers, health statuses and disaster risks, fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility.
How we built it
The journey to realizing ConnectLocal involved a collaborative effort. Leveraging our diverse skills, we developed a robust platform using cutting-edge technologies. The architecture incorporates user-friendly interfaces for organizers, shops, and individuals to contribute and access information easily.
Challenges we ran into
Building ConnectLocal was not without its hurdles. From conceptualizing a user-friendly design to integrating real-time data feeds, we navigated challenges that required innovative problem-solving.
