Inspiration
I built ConnectHub to make it easier for people to meet and talk online while making identity verification part of the experience. I wanted users to be able to discover a profile, start a conversation, and move to a call in one place.
What it does
ConnectHub is a live social and dating platform available on the web and Android. It brings together profile discovery, identity verification, messaging, real-time voice and video calls, live streaming, and subscription payments.
How I built it
I developed the web platform and Android app. My work covered the user interface, database design, authentication, and account privacy controls. The web dashboard uses Next.js and React with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Lucide React.
Challenges I worked through
One challenge was making verification status, incoming calls, and subscription access easy to understand in the same interface. I organized those features around the actions users take so they can see their account status, respond to a call, or manage their plan.
What I learned
Building ConnectHub showed me how closely trust and usability are connected. A verification step is easier to use when people can see its status and understand what to do next. The same applies to account controls and live communication.
