Inspiration

I always wanted an app that can act as a strong volunteering system especially when i am a new volunteer, after researching and finding volunteer events around the country. I realized that a lot of their volunteering platforms are hard to find and is not user friendly enough. In addition, Mr Malcom is suffering alot because he lacks a good back end system to manage his community

What it does

  1. Personalized Onboarding Welcomes new volunteers with a friendly, intuitive form (name, location, motivations). Lets users choose what drives them to volunteer — e.g., “Give back to society,” “Build community connections.” Allows theme selection (light/dark mode) for comfort and preference.
  2. Volunteer Training & Certification Offers structured training modules: Understanding Disability & Cycling Safety & Equipment Communication & Support Each module includes learning materials + quizzes. Completing all modules unlocks a Training Graduate badge — validating readiness.
  3. Community & Connection “Cycling Kampung” feature: Join themed WhatsApp/Telegram groups (e.g., Youth Mentors, Social Riders, Pro Trainers). Encourages peer-to-peer connection, mentorship, and casual rides — turning solo volunteers into a supportive network.
  4. Event Discovery & Sign-Up Lists upcoming volunteer events (e.g., Weekend Cycling Support, Adaptive Bike Maintenance, Community Cycling Day). One-click sign-up with calendar integration. Shows event details: date, time, location, description — helping volunteers plan ahead.
  5. Progress Tracking & Gamification Tracks volunteer hours and badges earned. Visual tier system: Beginner → Bronze → Silver → Gold → Veteran (based on hours). Simulate progress to see how fast you can level up — motivating continued engagement.
  6. AI Companion for Emotional Support A built-in AI chatbot that responds empathetically to volunteer concerns. Example: When a user says, “I’m nervous about my first session,” the AI replies with encouragement, tips, and reassurance. Acts as a 24/7 emotional safety net — especially valuable for new or anxious volunteers.
  7. Story Sharing & Impact Celebration Volunteers can post stories with photos, hashtags, and reflections. Highlights real-life impact — like Emma (8, cerebral palsy) riding independently, or Mdm Lim (72, Parkinson’s) rediscovering joy. Creates a culture of celebration and shared purpose.
  8. Referral System & SuperAttract Badge Users get a unique referral link to invite friends. Earn rewards for every 5/10/15 referrals — culminating in the exclusive SuperAttract Badge. Turns volunteers into ambassadors — growing the community organically.
  9. Impact Dashboard & Calendar Shows total hours volunteered, badges earned, friends referred. Integrated calendar lets users view and manage signed-up events month-by-month. Reinforces commitment and helps volunteers stay organized.
  10. Settings & Personalization Edit profile info, update motivations, toggle themes. Privacy-focused — data is secure and used only to enhance the volunteer experience.

How we built it

We built it using the power of Figma, after refining the app 23 times, we found a good version that users can use

Challenges we ran into

Thinking of the user interface and how we can make our app easy to use while making it impactful. It was also hard for us to think how exactly to design the app as well as what specific functions we need to include to solve the problem statement

Accomplishments that we're proud of
