Inspiration
Our school's have really bad communication systems for the students to conenct with the staff for any purpose.
What it does
It makes communication and connecting students with their teachers and staff much easier as it employs more modern methods of reaching out and making it accessible, quick, and efficient for students to understand and use.
How we built it
We used HTML, Javascript, CSS, and APIs in a combination to create an innovative communications systems for the staff and students while also implementing the new AI tech available to us to further enhance user experience.
Challenges we ran into
Implementing APIs into our project and understanding how they work and how to work them was a big challenge, as this was our first Hackathon too it made time management more difficult in return.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Actually getting the chatbot API to work and reply with coherent answers that genuinely make sense by training the bot and making the interface for the website clean, sleek, and easy to use.
What we learned
We learned what APIs are, what they do, how to use them, and got a better in depth experience with coding interfaces, and websites in collaboration with APIs.
What's next for ConnectEDU
Improving style, design, and making the login page fully functional. We also hope to possibly create a personalized messaging system that can step away from having to go through the emailing hassle and just make faster contact with the teachers through a seperate messaging system available on the website too.
