Inspiration
University of Alberta has many student run clubs. Each club have their own comminication methods and for someone who's in multple clubs, this can get messy. So we decided to create an app that would bundle everything together. Making things easier for both the members and club admins.
What it does
Connect members and club admins. A club can post events, announcement, etc. Members of the club will be able to see the postings and if it is an event, the member can RSVP to apply to attend.
How we built it
Tears, sweat, blood and teamwork. And most importantly, following the principle of Hack On.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to be learning about the conceepts of observable and handling multiple async calls to backend Learning android development for some of teammates Running a tab layout inside a frangment was proven to be more difficult than we had expected
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We completed a complex project with a feature complete backend and a mvp front end in 24hrs. Project this size usually take months in a course such as CMPUT301.

What's next for Connect
Complete the project, working on some of the features that we did not have time to compete.
Features such as: Chat interface Member profile Join club payment system Media Upload Post archiving
Also we believe that there are serious potenial in our idea nand we would like to try and bring thos app to market.
