Inspiration

In hackathons and real-world it's a bit difficult to find new teammates and people of the same interests, so Connect Solves it.

What it does

It helps in team formation in hackathons and through this app, you can meet new people of the same interest.

How we built it

We build it with Front end HTML, CSS, and JS, and backend Flask(python), with a database on Mongo DB, and MongoDB cluster hosted on Google Cloud. Hosted through Heroku and the URL of Go Daddy.

Key Features

Uses a special algorithm to match you with people of the same interests. Has Stats Dashboard which shows the stats of your matches like other gender, other countries, etc. Has a special voice reading feature i.e when you tap on a sentence it is read by custom voice recordings.

Challenges we ran into

Building backend and connecting Database was quite hard and I was unable to host it with the database. But at last, all went well.

What we learned

We learned about MongoDB and Heroku. We also learned URL forwarding.

What's next for Connect

Adding other contact options. Adding profile images.
