Inspiration
While considering an education minor, the topic of lesson planning came up often when it comes to being a teacher. And many teachers have mentioned how difficult it is to do, and we wanted to come up with a way to make it easier.
What it does
- Provide teachers access to their lesson plan through multiple devices.
- When creating a lesson plan through Connect, it will update other platforms on lesson plan changes. Platforms such as Canvas or Blackboard.
- Provides an easy to use interface for creating lesson plans
- Allows teachers to share their plans easily with students
How we built it
- Planning in LucidChart
- High resolution App in Figma
Challenges we ran into
Poor communication led to:
- Building the high resolution design before finishing the wireframe
- Trying to make a user scenario work with high resolution app
- Having to rebuild the app to make a more fluid user scenario
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- While redesigning we fit our vision of the user journey better
- The amount we accomplished in a short amount of time
- Fun group vibe. Worked well together
What we learned
- How to use Figma together as a group!
- That we're able to collaborate on Figma
- The design process has wireframming for a reason
- Designing from a user centered design perspective makes the interface better to use
What's next for Connect
- Building out the web browser version
- Seeing teachers thoughts on the product
Built With
- figma
- lucidchart
