Inspiration
I was inspired by observing people who couldn't fit in the social circles/communities surrounding them, this made them feel lonely and often times would affect their mental health
What it does
Provides a place for people to join in a community they're interested in and socialize with other users with the same interests
How we built it
We used html & css for the front end, django for the backend, github to collab, figma to make the initial design
Challenges we ran into
We had a hard time figuring out how to use the technology during the process of making our website
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we managed to make the demo of the website, although we weren't able to fit in all the features we had in mind , and we also managed to give our website a simple and basic design . initially we thought that we wouldn't be able to finish the demo , but actually by working together we managed to go beyond our initial thoughts
What we learned
- We learned the importance of working together
- How to use Github to collab
- Bettering our designing skills and converting our design to html and css
- improved our django skills
What's next for connect
We are planning to build all the features we had in mind , and improve the website's design. And promoting them so that more users can find their community
