Inspiration
I always believe that snap lens can be utilized to play games with friends either online or offline, and I missed that when we sit besides each other to play games in a handheld console, nowadays everyone is steering in his phone alone, so I have created this game so people can enjoy playing a game together.
What it does
When you start the lens a game of [Connect four] will appear in AR, you can click at the AR object to play
How we built it
After Designing the 3D Elements, I have created the game by coding using prefabs and some scripting knowledge
Challenges we ran into
There was supposed to be connected lens and single player lens but I had many issues with the connected part because it's complicated lens, I'm planning to finish a connected version once I remake a new simpler connected template
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I think that AR Gaming is the future and snap helps us to do that with simple tools such as lens studio
What we learned
I have learned many new things about developing games and making online games
What's next for Connect four
There will be a Connected version of this game so you can play it with a friend in the same room or even in different location of the world
