Inspiration

With the rise of online classes due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, students who are in their first year in a new school might find it difficult to find a friend or group to study with. So we want to create an app where students can reach out to other students and form study buddies.

What it does

The Study Buddy app helps students find study buddies in a save environment, and raise awareness on mental health.

How we built it

We built the app with front end application development.

Challenges we ran into

No one could hard code for the back end aspect which we tried but could not do so in time. We realized that what we learnt in school and online through Coursera are just basic coding skills which are insufficient knowledge to hard code. We need to attend coding classes that are more complex to up skill.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are able to brainstorm and come up with a solution for a problem we and our friends face in school in 24 hours.

What we learned

We have learned the front end of developing an app for this competition and we are thrilled that the competition has helped us to pushed our boundaries.

What's next for Connected Leute

Well, now we are aiming to actually complete this app, to learn how to work on the hard coding part and try pushing it out as a real application where we can help students here who really need help.
