conjunct

Inspiration

I was inspired to create conjunct after experiencing how difficult it was to make friends this past school year. In a virtual setting, there's not much bonding time between students and students, as well as students and teachers. I wanted to create an app that would bridge this gap and make it easier to form connections!

What it does

conjunct is a social networking app that connects students and teachers. It allows them to form "connections" based on their common interests. conjunct has a chat feature that allows users to message each other. Additionally, school administration has the ability to post announcements/articles about news that students may want to hear. Overall, conjunct improves the relationship between students, teachers, and the school!

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge I faced was coming up with a color palette. At first, I had a hard time coming up with colors that would reflect the values and purpose of conjunct, but eventually settled on green and orange, which I think work well!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was my first time doing UI/UX design (and using Figma), so I'm just really proud that I was able to create this prototype.

What we learned

I learned a lot about UI and UX design, and I also learned how to use Figma :D

What's next for conjunct

There are additional features that I would like to add, such as voice or video calling and implementing a platform where teachers could assign homework to students.
