We built Confnect after noticing a common problem at events: people attend, listen, and leave—but often miss the opportunity to make meaningful connections.
Many event organizers spend too much time managing logistics, sending reminders, and coordinating attendees manually. At the same time, attendees struggle to network effectively and connect with the right people.
This inspired us to build Confnect—a platform designed to make events more organized, more interactive, and more valuable for everyone involved.
Our goal is simple: Turn events into meaningful connections.
What it does
Confnect is an event engagement and networking platform that helps organizers run better events while helping attendees connect before, during, and after an event.
With Confnect, organizers can:
Create and manage events easily
Share event details such as date, time, venue, and directions
Send automatic reminders to attendees
Monitor attendee engagement through a central dashboard
Attendees can:
Join events through a shared link
View event information and schedules
Discover and match with other attendees
Chat and connect through the messaging feature
Build meaningful relationships beyond the event
Confnect also includes AI-powered features such as smart attendee matching and intelligent recommendations to improve networking and engagement.
How we built it
We built Confnect as a responsive web platform focused on simplicity and usability.
The platform includes:
Landing page to introduce the product
Event page for event details and directions
Messaging page for attendee communication
Matches page for networking and attendee discovery
Schedule page for event agenda and timelines
Dashboard page for organizers to manage everything
Profile page for attendees to showcase themselves
AI features for smarter recommendations and better event experiences
Throughout development, we focused on creating a clean and intuitive experience for both event organizers and attendees.
Challenges we faced
Building Confnect came with several technical and product challenges.
One major challenge was authentication and session management, especially with Google Sign-In. We encountered issues where users could be automatically logged back into previous accounts after logging out, which required improving session cleanup, token removal, and account switching.
Another challenge was mobile responsiveness, where some authentication flows forced the platform into desktop view on mobile devices. We had to carefully optimize the user experience across devices.
We also learned that building for real event behavior requires continuous testing and feedback. Designing meaningful networking features was not just about technology—it was about understanding how people connect.
What we learned
Building Confnect taught us that event technology should do more than manage logistics—it should create better human experiences.
We learned: Networking is often the most valuable part of an event Organizers need tools that reduce manual work User experience details matter deeply Real-world testing is essential Great products solve human problems, not just technical ones
What’s next for Confnect We are continuing to improve Confnect through real-world testing and user feedback.
Next, we plan to:
Enhance AI-powered attendee matching
Improve organizer analytics and event insights
Expand networking and messaging tools
Support more communities and event types
Our vision is to make every event more connected, more engaging, and more meaningful.
