Inspiration

The idea for ConflictResolutionBot stemmed from observing how many conflicts, both big and small, often escalate due to a lack of effective communication and a willingness to understand different perspectives. We wanted to create a tool that could facilitate respectful dialogue and guide parties towards fair and reasonable resolutions.

What it does

ConflictResolutionBot provides a platform for opposing parties to present their arguments in a structured manner. The bot then analyzes the inputs impartially, identifies the core issues and concerns, and proposes a balanced resolution that addresses the valid points raised by both sides. The goal is to find a compromise that respects everyone's needs and interests as much as possible.

How we built it

Using Party Rock of course!

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was developing something useful, this is really helpful for real cases or for yourself, sometimes we have disagreements, and without a 3rd party it's hard to recognize when you may be wrong.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating a tool that encourages compromise and understanding over confrontation. By providing an impartial platform for parties to express their perspectives and receive a balanced resolution, ConflictResolutionBot promotes more empathy and willingness to find common ground.

What we learned

This project taught us a lot about the dynamics and psychology of conflict resolution. We gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of considering multiple viewpoints objectively and finding solutions that address everyone's core interests and needs, even if they can't be fully satisfied.

What's next for ConflictResolutionBot

While not a substitution for human mediators or judges in complex disputes, we see ConflictResolutionBot as a helpful tool for resolving smaller disagreements before they escalate. Future goals include extending it to support multimedia inputs, offering resolution suggestions in real-time as arguments are presented, and developing domain-specific models for different types of conflicts. We also plan to explore integrating emotional intelligence capabilities to better gauge sentiments and tone. Ultimately, our aim is to promote more understanding in our society.
