Inspiration
We believe that mental health is one of the most important yet overlooked things. That is why we decided to make ConfidentU, a website dedicated to your mental health. ConfidentU was inspired by our desire to help people overcome mental health issues and provide a supportive platform to build confidence.
What it does
Our project can help people with mental health issues, such as depression, by making life a little easier for them. With our checklist feature, people can remember to do daily tasks, such as brushing their teeth or making their bed, boosting their motivation and energy. Using the free write feature and journal prompts, our journal feature can help to log and keep track of your emotions. We also have a community post feature, which allows users to connect with other people and meet like-minded individuals.
How we built it
We built ConfidentU using Replit and GitHub, utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for development. These technologies helped us create a dynamic and interactive platform to assist users.
Challenges we ran into
During the development of ConfidentU, we had problems trying to connect Java to HTML. Lacking this knowledge, we decided to work around the issue and decided to not use Java. Instead, we focused on building the platform with only HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud we were able to finished the website.
What we learned
While creating ConfidentU, we learned the importance of adaptability and problem-solving. We learned how to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript more effectively, and gained valuable experience in overcoming technical challenges. This project also improved our skills in web development and teamwork.
