Inspiration

After attending CloudNext'24, we realized the frustration of navigating through traffic jams while also seeking networking opportunities during the commute to and from the conference venue.

What it does

BuddyFinder utilizes Vertex AI to optimize conference travel logistics for up to 30,000 attendees. It integrates with the conference app, allowing users to opt-in to share their airline flight number, hotel details, and phone number during app usage. This information facilitates carpooling and networking opportunities, streamlining travel logistics and enhancing the overall attendee experience.

How we built it

We leveraged Vertex AI to develop BuddyFinder, utilizing its advanced capabilities to create an efficient and user-friendly platform.

What's next for BuddyFinder

Next steps for BuddyFinder include integrating with ridesharing apps such as Uber and Lyft to further streamline travel logistics, as well as enhancing driver availability during peak times. Additionally, we aim to implement features that ensure ridesharing services send appropriate vehicle sizes to the designated meeting points.
