Inspiration
Popular games such as Clash of Clans and Age of War contributed to our ideation.
What it does
An innovative take on the classic tower defense game.
How we built it
Piskel, a free online pixel animation software, and Unity Collaborative where the bulk of our development was accomplished. We equipped two artists and two characters which was an awesome team composition.
Challenges we ran into
Collisions were very difficult. Hit Boxes and hurt boxes were hard to manage in a balanced manner. We had several issues regarding units walking through each other and freezing. Converting animations to a compatible format for Unity was also a challenge on our graphics end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of our UI, Graphics, Creativity and the fact that we had the most coveted resource in our whiteboard markers.
What we learned
We learned a TON about animations, working on a tight timeline, and team collaboration. We are excited to work together more in the future.
What's next for Confection Infection
We would love to add more characters, levels, bosses, upgrades and other features. During play testing we will be continuously addressing issues regarding collision and balancing. In the near future, we are also looking forward to submitting this game to the public on GooglePlay and the App Store.
