Concordia Virtual Tour++

Inspiration

Currently, Concordia's virtual tour webpage is limited, featuring only a single, fixed 360-degree image.

What it does

Concordia Virtual Tour++ is a fully interactive web app that lets users explore and navigate freely across the campus, using 3D Gaussian Splatting. It also features a chatbot answering any questions related to Concordia or the scene you are currently in.

How we built it

Image capture -> COLMAP -> train -> get 3D model -> plug into WebGL Viewer -> collisiion detection

Challenges we ran into

We spent ~8 hours initially to get the models trained, but none of them worked. On our 4th attempt, we finally got a satisfactory model.
