Inspiration
Citi opened APIs for outside developers and kicked off Citi Mobile Challenge to spark innovation. 744 ideas were submitted by 3,000 developers from 62 countries! 64 ideas got into the Finals, which took place in SF, NYC and Miami during the week of Nov 10th.
How it works
Citi Mobile Challenge was a virtual challenge rather than a traditional 24hr hackathon. This enabled teams from around the world to participate.
Challenges I ran into
Running 4 distributed teams in parallel with 4 unique ideas was challenging!
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
4 ideas submitted -> 4 finalists -> 1 winner of the "Most Transformative Branch Experience" award
What I learned
Details matter! Product mentality matters! But most importantly - customers matter!
