Inspiration
This project was inspired by a struggle that I observed in my high school's Concert Band. With an emphasis on the music, my directors struggled to manage & organize data.
What it does
The Concert Band Database manages attendance, student information, & concert tickets. It stores all of the information in a easy-to-use, compact program.
How we built it
The program was built using Java. It makes use of data files, arrays, & conditional statements.
Challenges we ran into
I struggled with storing data so that it continued for future uses. I also struggled to effectively execute the conditional statements.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am extremely proud of the use of data files to continuously hold information.
What we learned
I learned about the importance of time management & not expecting perfection.
What's next for Concert Band Database
The next step for this project would be to create visuals & possibly move the database into a more graphic interface such as Pygame or Swift.
