Computer SMS Messaging System

Inspiration

We were inspired by our own imginiation. We came up with the idea pretty late in the game, however, we are so proud of what we did!

What it does

A user on their computer enters their email, password, and a phone number (with carrier) they want to send too. Afterwards, the code prompts for a prompt and message that will be sent in text to receiver in due time.

How we built it

We used packages in python to send an SMS text message via a phone number. We used easygui, yagmail, os. We also put a link of freecarrier so the user can get the phone carrier number.

Challenges we ran into

We were trying to import an API of the phone carrier number, however, the API would not give the data we wanted.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite changing our orginial topic, we are happy we made a product that works to the best our abilities. Despite how late we worked, we pushed throught and overall happy what we learned.

What we learned

We learned ideas we wanted to do in the future, how to use APIs, what to improve on in the future, staying our ground, how to do front/back end coding, how to use unfamiliar topics, and what it means to suceed and lose.

What's next for Computer SMS Messaging System

We want to make a faster reply time, we want to include the API for the phone carrier number, we want to make a website for the program, we also want to make sure it works more smoothly and understand fully in depth all the APIs and packages we used.
