Inspiration

I built Composition for creatives who can clearly visualize an idea but don’t want to spend hours prompting it into existence. I wanted AI to enhance creativity, not replace it, while keeping creative control in the hands of the filmmaker.

What it does

Composition is an AI-powered filmmaking studio that lets you physically step inside a virtual scene.

Move around, frame shots, direct characters, and capture camera movements using your phone. An AI director helps transform your vision into cinematic footage while preserving your creative freedom.

How I built it

I combined spatial computing, 3D editing, and generative AI into a unified filmmaking experience.

Composition bridges physical movement with virtual filmmaking, allowing creators to direct scenes intuitively and turn their ideas into reusable, editable compositions.

I developed the project independently with Codex, using it to accelerate development, solve technical challenges, and refine the experience.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges was creating a responsive experience while managing multiple real-time systems.

Another was balancing AI automation with creative control, ensuring that AI assists the filmmaking process without taking over the user’s vision.

Accomplishments I’m proud of

Building a complete AI filmmaking studio independently.
Bringing physical movement into virtual filmmaking.

What I learned

I learned how powerful AI becomes when paired with intuitive, physical interaction rather than relying entirely on text prompts.

Building Composition also taught me how to independently develop and integrate complex systems with Codex.

What’s next for Composition

I’m exploring more immersive ways to interact with virtual environments, improve spatial accuracy, and give creators greater control over their scenes.

My goal is to make filmmaking feel less like operating software and more like stepping inside your imagination.
