🌟 Inspiration

We wanted to build something light, meaningful, and instantly joyful. In a world full of stress and negativity, sometimes all it takes is a small, sincere compliment to turn someone’s day around. ComplimentSpark was inspired by that idea — making it easier for people to give better compliments, more often.

💬 What it does

ComplimentSpark is a simple web app that helps users discover thoughtful, kind, and creative compliments to share with others. With just one click, users receive a compliment idea, with categories like "For Friends", "For Work", "For a Crush", and more. It's designed to spark positive conversations and spread good energy.

🛠️ How we built it

We used Bolt.new to build the entire app in one focused prompt. The frontend is responsive and mobile-friendly, with playful colors and emoji. Compliment ideas are stored in categorized arrays and served randomly with each click. There’s also a category filter and a “copy to clipboard” feature for easy sharing.

🧗 Challenges we ran into

One challenge was keeping the compliments fresh and meaningful without sounding too generic or robotic. We also wanted to maintain a fun and uplifting vibe across all categories without overcomplicating the UI.
