Inspiration

We wanted to see how many different sensors we could use in one project, and we didn't have any actuators, so we decided to make the output keystrokes.

What it does

This is just an ordinary keyboard, except you need to put your hand in front of a range finder to select a number one through 13. Then, you need another person on the stairs to raise and lower the altitude sensor to select the first or second half of the altitude to type.

How we built it

Built with a teensy, a trinket, some breakouts and a whole lot of serial reading.

Challenges we ran into

Everything took at least an hour to figure out why it was being inconsistent.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It works.

What we learned

This is the worst way to type anything ever.

What's next for complikeyboard

Creating a shift key, a better way to backspace and the ability to type symbols.
