ComplianceGuard is an AI‑powered assistant that creates compliance checklists directly in Jira for HIPAA, SOC2, and GDPR.
The idea came from seeing teams waste a lot of time copying the same compliance requirements into tickets again and again. This manual work is boring, slow, and easy to get wrong. I wanted a simple way to turn a framework choice (HIPAA/SOC2/GDPR) into ready‑to‑use Jira tasks in a few seconds.
With ComplianceGuard, a user opens the Rovo agent, chooses the framework, and enters a Jira project key. The agent then creates a set of pre‑defined issues (5 for HIPAA, 5 for SOC2, 4 for GDPR) with priorities, labels, and descriptions already filled in. It can also check how many of those tasks are done and generate a small audit report showing completed and pending items.
I built it using Atlassian Rovo Dev, Forge APIs, and Jira Cloud. The main challenge was wiring the agent actions to Jira correctly and making sure the status and report features work for real projects, not just a demo. The result is a small but practical tool that saves compliance and engineering teams time and keeps their work organized in one place: Jira.
