Our Inspiration

We wanted to create a unique experience for mental health apps by creating Complete to follow a game journey experience while being an all-in-one inclusive platform.

What it does

Complete takes results from the user onboarding quiz to create a personalized self-care journey. Complete will give them daily tasks, and provide support groups, and 24/7 access to mental health information.

How we built it

First, we used Figjam to conceptualize and brainstorm ideas we had for the app. Then we researched the market and discovered the pain points in other mental health apps. From there, we began using Figma for low and high-fidelity wireframes. Finally, we began planning the technicality of the app and how we'll measure KPIs.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges we ran into were first deciding how we were going to make the app unique compared to the other mental health apps out in the market. Also, picking which features we conceptualized would make the final product. Finally, we struggled with how to make the user experience flow without being overwhelming.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating a unique mental health app despite the time constraints, especially since our team was based all around the world.

What we learned

Our team learned the importance of collaborating closely with a variety of roles as UX Designer, developer, and project manager within each other. We delegated tasks successfully into the roles of the hustler, hipster, and hacker. We also learned to be mindful of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP). There were multiple occurrences when we wanted to go beyond and continue adding features to the product. Going back to the problem statement and company's desired outcomes helped us stay on track.

What's next for Complete

What we plan to do next for Complete is to use JavaScript to create a cross-platform app that can be used on iOS, Android, and Web. We also need to include Google and Facebook APIs and TLS encryption to ensure our user's information is kept private and secure.
