Inspiration
Being a CS student in a competitive program can be a bit challenging and stressful at times. Sometimes, it helps to just write what's on your mind and move on.
What it does
"Complain Away" is an interactive platform where you can vent your bad emotions and deepest thoughts as a form of stress relief. And none of it is saved (it disappears in an instant!)
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We coded in the VSCode editor, using multiple git branches, and then deployed it using Netlify. We drew the original graphics in an app called "Vectornator."
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was that we each came from different coding backgrounds with skills and experience in different languages and technologies. We all had to learn something new in the process!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of integrating our original art with sound effects and smooth animations.
What we learned
We learned how to collaborate both as a team and technically, keeping an efficient git workflow in our project. We also grew as frontend developers, as some of us had never coded in these languages before.
What's next for Complain Away
We plan to add more features to the app, such as displaying words of affirmation and inspirational quotes to spread more good vibes!
