Inspiration

We participated in a walking challenge this summer and realized how much more inclined we were to actively participate in a challenge when competing against friends! It was a great way to stay connected and have fun!

What it does

Community is a mobile app that is meant for creating challenges for you and your friends to participate in. You can choose a daily healthy habit from the list (such as: walking, healthy eating, journaling, etc.) and invite your friends to join your challenge. Everyone tracks their progress daily and can support each other to help sustain a healthy habit or drop a bad habit!

How we built it

We used Figma to create a mock design of our application.

we learned the hard way that Figma to HTML plugins do not work!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are so proud of our design. We spent a great time selecting colours and making sure our fonts are easy to read. In addition to that, we spent a lot of time finding/creating icons and badges that fit community! Overall, we spent a lot of time designing the visual appeal of this app in order to cater to its audience!

What we learned

Next time we would start to code the webpage ourselves rather than relying on plugins

What's next for community

We would like to turn this mock design into reality! Additionally, integration with Slack would be a great way to bridge the gap between coworkers in today's virtual environment.
