Inspiration

Timotion is a running event that started with the mission to get the community to move, to support each other in a healthier lifestyle and support those not so fortunate along the way by including social impact projects as causes for fundraising.

Even though the event is at it's 12th edition, the good vibes can only be felt during the live event. Each actor involved in the event (participant, cultural manager, organising team, champions, sponsors) live through a different dimension of the event, depending on what they are focusing on (management, fundraising, donating, training).

Using data storytelling, we can now show the big picture of the Timotion Community, using a visual approach (seeing is believing), and how it grows and lives with each other's contribution.

What it does

We have a digital history of interaction from 12 years of organising the event. We are using that history to visualise how the event concept is creating the fabric of the offline and online community. Locally, people are moving the community forward: through donations, through movement, through fundraising, through sponsorships. The data analysis and data visualisation makes visible how all the parts in the concept come together to create the magic the people felt only during the day of the event.
