Inspiration

As the world advances, the threat of misinformation continues to rise.

Misinformation causes us to make bad decisions as it misleads us into believing a fallacy.

What it does

Community Notes is a community-first approach to tackling misinformation.

It‘s an API that allows people to integrate Twitter‘s top feature, which made It the number–one news source for almost half a billion people, the community notes.

As part of this project, a Chrome extension was built to allow non-technical people to utilise community notes on any website!

Features

• Manually create a community note
• Use AI to request a community note
• Vote on a note.
• (and of course, retrieve notes)

What's next for Community Notes

Community Notes lacks some things, such as security to prevent people from spamming helpful/not helpful votes via the extension.

To take this further, Community Notes will be implemented on several other social media platforms (we've been able to secure partnerships).
