Inspiration

As a Synagogue regular attender and a seat owner, I put an attention that sometimes there is a shortage of seats when many guests come. It happens that guests come earlier than a regular attendees and occupy a seat owner seat. When a regulars come and find out their seat is occupied, there is a potential for an awkward situation. In reality, regulars do their best to behave kindly, so the guest doesn't feel uncomfortable. Sometimes a seat owners kindly ask a guest to free a place and direct him to a community manager to find a free seat. Sometimes a regulars prefer not to disturb a guests and go to community manager themselves to find another place to sit. This situation inspired me to create an application can help a community managers and members to manage seats and other community resources in more smart manner. In addition to seats, I thought about a hospitality pool for guests come for member celebration events. Also, I thought about community ride pool.

What it does

For now, I only built a prototype. My prototype focuses on seat sharing. There are two roles, community members and community managers. Members can contribute their seats or ask for additional seat for their guests for a specific date. Manager can approve or reject a member request.

How I built it

I used:

1. bolt.new for initial UI code and later UI fine tuning,
2. Jetbrains Junie AI code assistant for coding AI assistant widget embedding,
3. n8n for AI agent,
4. Vectorize no code RAG platform, https://platform.vectorize.io/ for creating rag_context tool for n8n AI agent. I participate a Hyperskill.org educational platform AI Enterpreaner boot camp. The boot camp content definitely helped me to discover and try a bolt.new and the Hackaton. Then a boot camp mentors guidance helped me to learn and use n8n and vectorize platforms. And finally to create this prototype project.

Challenges I ran into

While developing, It was pretty challenging to decide which features to prototype with bolt.new platform, and which features to develop with a coding agent. Adding n8n AI Agent with rag_context tool based on project documentation and implemented with https://platform.vectorize.io platform was pretty challenging.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am pretty aware that it is only a prototype. Yet doing it for a first time was pretty challenging, and I am grateful for encouraging me to do that.

What I learned

To combine bolt.new platform capabilities with Junie - Jetbrains AI coding assistant. To leverage no code n8n and Vectorize https://platform.vectorize.io/ platform capabilities.

What's next for Community Hub

Currently only seats sharing feature prototype is created. Nest steps will be prototyping a hospitality and rides pool, and then probably trying it in my local community.
