Inspiration
Community Hero was inspired by the need to bridge the gap between citizens and authorities, ensuring safety and prompt resolution for everyday local issues. I wanted to create a digital ecosystem that empowers individuals with immediate legal guidance and emergency support.
What it does
It serves as a comprehensive platform for:
Verified Citizen Reporting: Allowing users to report infrastructure or social issues efficiently.
Emergency Safety: An AI-integrated SOS and voice-triggered security system that alerts designated contacts.
Legal Mitra: An AI consultant providing instant legal rights awareness and FIR support contacts.
How we built it
The project was developed using:
AI/ML: Integrated AI for voice recognition and the Legal Mitra consultation feature.
Mapping: Live geolocation services for hyperlocal issue tracking.
User Interface: Intuitive design for seamless navigation and accessibility.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating real-time voice triggers for SOS alerts and ensuring accurate, localized legal information for the Legal Mitra feature were complex technical hurdles.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully building a functional SOS safety hub that links to emergency contacts and an AI consultant that provides comprehensive legal briefs for harassment cases.
What we learned
Building Community Hero deepened my understanding of how AI-driven tools can effectively enhance community safety and administrative transparency in a hyperlocal context.
What's next for Community Hero: Hyperlocal AI Safety Network
The plan is to expand the platform with broader authority integration for faster grievance redressal and advanced predictive analytics for city-wide safety improvements.
