Inspiration - Imagine a single Mom with no transportation that needs help because she just received a 3-Day Eviction Notice. She has three kids that she can't find a sitter for, and no transportation. She could use the local Help channel to get the information she needs. Poor people in the local community do not know where to go for services, this information is listed on the new HELP cable channel.

What it does- The Help Channel is a local community access channel like PBS with local community services providing content and informational videos. The channel has a guide (like the station guide) to find local community services on the television screen.

Major help categories like Social Services, Health, Finance, Housing/Home, Food, Legal are selected with the remote control or through a search feature.
Information within each category would be updated by the local service provider. FAQs and videos inform and empower individuals. For additional help local phone numbers and addresses are listed.

What's next for Community Help Network - advocate with FCC and cable providers to provide this channel. Consolidate efforts of legal aid and social services programs to provide content.
