Inspiration

We brainstormed for hours and one challenge that really spoke out to us was Fidelity’s Challenge, the idea of making investment easier and more accessible to everyone, regardless or race, gender, ethnicity etc.

What it does

It a fully functioning website that not only gives information on hedge funds but makes it also makes it accessible to everyone, and also gives an example of a low-income investment, with a page that updates with the most recent financial news.

How we built it

We used react, node.js, html, css, javascript, our ide we used was visual studio code, we first started with the brainstorming, and then from there we split up the tasks evenly and got to work, if we faced any challenges we worked through them together or we had help from a mentor.

Challenges we ran into

We faced many challenges while creating the app whether it was, laptops not working, or the Wi-Fi being weird, we faced a few challenges using GitHub, members of the group were new to react and JavaScript.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Definitely being able to create a fully functionally website, also being able to work through all the challenges we had

What we learned

We definitely learned a lot about programming, and problem solving, but we also learned a lot about ourselves and being able to work in a team, and learning how to work diligently in a short time frame.

What's next for Community Hedge Fund

We definitely want to work more on the design, we also want to implement an API for the hedge fund page to give examples of real world companies not just mock, and overall just make it a better experience for anyone who uses it
