The COVID19 pandemic gives us an opportunity to refocus on what it really means to help each other when you have no option to do it in person. That's why I decided to build an app which will help the people to create digital communities where they will be able to share their knowledge and learn from each other.
What it does
Main mission of the application is to help the people in insolation to create their own P2P courses and help each other to overcome the difficulties of the situation such as global pandemic with the help of education, and general knowledge sharing.
How I built it
The app will be designed for web, IOS and Android to ensure the full compability for all participants.
Challenges I ran into
It's especially important to highlight that the platform is human-centric, that's why a big portion of research will be devoted to understanding the theory of "virtual personality".
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am a proud alumnus of the University of the People - an online university which teaches complex academic disciplines fully remotely. This experience give me the opportunity to fully understand the challenges people are facing when they start studying remotely.
What I learned
From my personal experience I learned that learning new things is never enough and developing professional skills is crucial especially in emergency situations such as global pandemic. So I believe that everyone should be prepared to the emergency situations in their life, to help themselves and their loved ones to overcome the crisis of any kind.
What's next for UniPeer
My next steps are to conduct a deeper research on the topics of peer-to-peer education, self learning psychology, and most important for you to roll out the beta version of the platform by the end of April.
