Inspiration

Being the first to go to college, I have many challenges to face, and even worse I have no one to talk to. When you are studying in another country in another language, it makes things daunting. All parents want their kids to succeed in their education. By making communication better and smoother with the help of AI, teachers, and parents can work together to aid their students/children's education.

What it does

Azure AI Translator aids teachers in making comments on students on either missing assignments or feedback. Teachers can share the diary/journal with students and parents in their language. Communicate Better aims to help teachers build a rapport with parents and how they can work together to equip their students for success.

How we built it

No code only Figma for UI and Prototype.

Challenges we ran into

I was initially in a team, but it didn't work out because we didn't have ideas. AI is relatively new, and so there are many concepts to learn. A major drawback is communication among team members. At the last minute, I decided to give a try no code solution using Figma only.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being inclusive in communication as well as serving the marginalized group in the community.

What we learned

Having an idea is good, but getting started early is better because we learn and adjust accordingly.

What's next for Communicate Better

Design an interface and prototype for parents to communicate with teachers after they receive comments on their children's performance.
