Inspiration
I saw a lot of nice habit tracking apps lately and after seeing some cool designs on Dribbble, I decided to see what I could make of it. It seemed like a nice project for the Ship-A-Ton, because integrating RevenueCat and forcing users to pay if they miss a day feels like a nice twist.
What it does
It’s a simple app that helps you to track and stick to a daily exercise, turning it into a lasting habit. If you miss a day, you pay. So it's holding you financially accountable :)
How I built it
I tried to use as few frameworks as possible for this, so I tried to use mainly the native APIs from Swift. All saved data is being handled through SwiftData and payments through RevenueCat. Also: RevenueCat Paywalls ❤️
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
It got approved on Apple's first review 😱, I've never had that! So everything went really smoothly!
What I learned
I'm an iOS developer myself, so except for using SwiftData, there was not much new to me technology-wise. But I found out that when I have a deadline, I can scope my app idea way down and publish it within a week!
What's next for Commit
I actually want to make the UI just a bit better, I'd like to integrate some checks in place to see if users really did it (right now, you only cheat yourself if you log an exercise without actually doing it) and I want to send it out to some friends.
