Inspiration
We suffer the problem of a poor mobility, and multiple times I heard that I can't complain becuase my car and me are part of the problem. I drive a van with 6 free places and every day I deal 30km to get to work. The city is not able to provide the enough transportation services and that's way all the bus stops are full of people waitting for any space in the bus, or the more lucky some free taxi. So, many times I would like to know if somebody of those guys waitting is going to the same place than me to pick their up, but despite I'm able to go there and say: "Hey guys, I'm going to X place"... I need a way to do it safe, keep my car clean, don't spend much time and why not, get some karma points.
What it does
This car application let me, as a driver, pickup any person inside my circle of trust, with totally confidence, state some rules that can be quailfied individually. And as passenger, aboard one vehicule whre the driver selected by one authority make the driver comply with strong requirements to make my trip comftable, safety, quick, and fun.
How I built it
The first concern about carpooling is the safety, that's way we decided to create an application where the drivers and the passenger are part of one social network, like the employees of one company, members of one dancing club, or members of one startup community, in that circles there is always a person where the people can trust. That authority person is in charge to register drivers and passengers. We are human beings that's make us in automatically social and we are part of multiple circles. So, passengers are able to see all the commutes offered by the drivers going trhough the point of interest.
The second concern it's the comfort, to become a qualified driver, the driver must be aproved by the authority doing some validations to the car (basically mechanical and visual condition ). After this approval To keep it as is, some rules are stated like "No food allowed" to be accepted by all the users. All the user beaivour must be quailified
