Inspiration

Students waste hours rewatching lectures or rereading research papers just to take notes and prepare for exams. They need an AI that can automatically extract key points, summaries, and quiz questions from any content.

What it does

With our structured prompt, Comet

  • Analyze online lectures (YouTube, PDFs, or webpages)
  • Generate clean, structured study guides
  • Create flashcards and quizzes for active recall ## How we built it We built it using Perplexity’s Comet Agentic AI Browser as the intelligence layer for browsing, summarization, and content reasoning. When a user opens a lecture or research article, Comet's Agentic AI to:
  • Extract structured content
  • Generate summaries and key concepts with context awareness
  • Transform knowledge into flashcards and quizzes using AI reasoning ## Challenges we ran into Prompt design: Getting Comet to consistently output structured content (summary, flashcards, quiz) required careful instruction tuning. Output control: Ensuring the AI-generated flashcards and quizzes were accurate and not redundant needed multiple refinements. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of Built a fully functional ai prompt that turns any lecture or article into a complete study kit within minutes. ## What we learned How powerful agentic browsing can be when applied to real educational workflows with good prompts. The importance of prompt engineering to control multi-step AI reasoning and structured output. Learned that even small automation (like flashcard generation) can massively enhance learning efficiency. ## What's next for Comet - MyStudyPal Convert to Chrome extension for better control and enhanced integrations
