Based on the problems faced when we moved in Texas, USA for first time for our MS. We were not able to find used items for buying at cheap price, at reachable distance. We had the idea that many student who are about to graduated and move, will have many items to sell but there was no any good platform for that.

If there are platforms there are no filtering criteria or searching criteria. So, we specifically implemented those things in our project.

What it does

this platform enabled to connect comets those wants to sell or buy any used or new items. it provides targetted filter and sorting option to find the right seller and item.

How we built it

we used MongoDB for database, NodeJS and Express for Backend and React For Client.

Challenges we ran into

As this MERN tech stack was new for all team members we faced some challenges getting familiarized with the tech stack.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we have built an MVP for selling an item. we were able to implement sorting and filtering of items and the basic flow of our idea.

What we learned

We learned a new tech stack, Time Management, and teamwork.

What's next for Comet-Mart

We will implement interface for buyer to post item for listing in comet mart. we will implement new features providing sold items history, chat with buyer, wishlist and including more media images/videos for items.
