I was frustrated by the disconnect between the power of modern AI and the outdated, passive nature of web browsing. For decades, I was the one doing all the work: manually opening dozens of tabs, copying and pasting, comparing, and trying to find connections. I was a data collector, not an analyst.

The inspiration for this project came from a simple question: What if the browser could do the work for me?

With the rise of AI-native browsers like Perplexity Comet, which can read page content, understand context, and connect to apps, I saw an opportunity. This realization led me to explore a new paradigm: transforming the browser from a simple document viewer into an active, intelligent co-pilot that automates research, learning, and everyday tasks.

I did not build a standalone app. Instead, I created a series of powerful, repeatable AI agent workflows that leverage the native capabilities of my Perplexity Comet browser. These "agents" are executed using natural language prompts to automate my three core pillars:

The Research Synthesis Agent actively analyzes and integrates information from multiple sources, synthesizing scattered research into clear insights rather than merely gathering links.

  • Multi-Tab Synthesis: I use prompts like “Using my 10 open tabs (@tabs), identify the 3 most common arguments and create a comparison table.”
  • Proactive Intelligence: I created automated "Tasks" to act as intelligence bots. For example: “Every Friday, search for new product launches from [Competitor X], summarize them, and email me the brief.”
  • Deep Research: I use “Deep Research” and “Focus: Academic” prompts to generate comprehensive, cited reports on new topics in minutes, not days.

The Socratic Tutor Agent transforms passive reading into dynamic exploration by offering on-demand clarifications, in-depth explanations, and context-sensitive guidance as a sidebar companion.

  • Active Reading: I "interrogate" dense articles with prompts like “Explain the 'attention mechanism' this article mentions, but like I'm a developer.”
  • Concept Weaving: I connect ideas across different media. For example: “Using the YouTube video (@tab1) and the blog post (@tab2), explain how the concept from the video is being practically applied in the product from the blog post.”

The Personal Assistant Agent handles real-world tasks through app integrations—automating scheduling, emailing, and purchases—making it the action-oriented executor among the agents.

  • Workflow Automation: I use prompts like “Check my calendar for tomorrow afternoon, find a 30-minute slot, and draft an email to 'Jane Smith' suggesting a meeting.”
  • Task Execution: I automate complex chores, such as “Find the 'Sony WH-1000XM5' headphones on Amazon, add a compatible case, and proceed to checkout.”
