Combating the Gender Gap in Tech

Inspiration

We were inspired after hearing and learning about personal experiences from family members and friends. As women in the tech industry, they have had to face some barriers when it comes to equal representation in the workforce, like fair leadership opportunities.

What it does

This website is built using html, CSS, javascript, and replit. The purpose is to provide more resources for women trying to emerge in the technology field and to also help ourselves set goals for the future.

Creating a website in the span of 24-hours was definitely not easy since we did not have much experience, however, it was an extremely fun experience and we were able to learn about so many useful languages. Last time we made a website, we mainly used grid to format the pages, however, this time we learned how to use flex box and it was a very good tool to learn.

What's next for Combating the Gender Gap in Tech

We aim to make the website more readable by adding more pictures and interactive images. We also want to make this more device-friendly by adjusting it for all kinds of devices like phones, tablets, and more. Furthermore, we hope to make our website more intuitive and user-friendly.
