Inspiration: Islamophobia has become an increasing issue facing Muslim-Americans. We created this website to advocate for and provide information regarding Islamophobia in America and how one can help.

What it does: Our website provides information and resources regarding Islamophobia in the United States. We also discuss how the media and politics perpetuates anti-muslim acts.

How we built it: In a repl.it IDE, we used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We used Excel to input and model the data.

Challenges we ran into: We had trouble convert the csv file of data to a visualization format. We also had trouble organizing our website into an effective format.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Color scheme, working website, message, checklist, timeline.

What we learned: How to make a checklist, how to make a timeline, how to gather resources.

What's next for Combating Islamophobia in the Media: In the future, we want to track hashtags on Twitter that perpetuate negative viewpoints of Muslims in America, and flood them with more positive, accurate facts about Muslims.
