Inspiration
I kept seeing founders on Instagram posting reels to find co-founders. While creative, it didn’t feel like the right way to connect with serious people. That’s when I thought: Why not make finding co-founders more structured, engaging, and meaningful? This inspired me to experiment with a new approach—using games and community to discover the right co-founder or intern.
What it does
Founders can create interactive games that act like compatibility tests.
Multiple types of games can be designed (logic-based, scenario-based, decision-making).
With AI support, games could be auto-generated, making creation even easier.
Founders and their teams can review results to find the most suitable matches.
A community space allows founders to post updates, and others can comment, engage, and discuss ideas.
If a founder is impressed by someone but doesn’t want them as a co-founder, they can still offer them an internship opportunity.
How we built it
Developed the project entirely on Replit, with some exploration in Lovable.
Structured the flow using rows and prompts.
Built features like:
Game-based matching
Founder posts & community interaction
Internship option for flexible collaboration
Challenges we ran into
Translating a creative idea into a working structure with limited tools
Balancing between fun game mechanics and serious compatibility testing
Designing a system that feels simple but can scale with AI integration
Thinking through how community and matching features could work together seamlessly
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Turning a simple observation into a working prototype
Building everything with lightweight tools like Replit and Lovable
Creating a new, playful yet structured way to find co-founders and interns
Designing a flow that others can use as an example for building their own projects
What we learned
How effective prompt-driven structures (rows + prompts) can be for building workflows
The potential of combining games and collaboration tools for solving real problems
The importance of giving users multiple paths: co-founder, intern, or community member
That you don’t always need heavy resources—just experimentation and creativity to bring an idea to life
What's next for Comatch
Expanding the game types so founders can customize tests in different ways
Integrating AI to automatically generate games, making it easy for anyone to use
Building a more robust community system for posts, comments, and discussions
Exploring a scalable version of this project so more people can use it as a real tool
Continuing to refine the idea and see how it can evolve beyond just an experiment
