Our inspiration for Colorists Virtual Whiteboard stemmed from a desire to enhance teamwork by incorporating natural hand movements into the digital realm, akin to the fluidity and expressiveness of physical interactions.

What it does: Colorists Virtual Whiteboard revolutionizes the collaborative experience by allowing teams to seamlessly contribute and brainstorm ideas on a shared digital canvas using intuitive hand gestures. Whether you're in the same room or miles apart, our web app creates a virtual space where creativity knows no bounds.

How we built it: Leveraging the power of modern web technologies, we developed Colorists Virtual Whiteboard using React for its robust frontend capabilities, Tailwind CSS for streamlined design, and MediaPipe for precise hand gesture recognition. This unique combination enabled us to create a user-friendly platform that merges the familiarity of traditional whiteboarding with the convenience of digital collaboration.

Challenges we ran into: One of our main challenges was adapting complex computer vision algorithms, typically used in Python, to a web-friendly environment using React. However, through innovative problem-solving and collaboration, we successfully integrated MediaPipe, ensuring smooth and accurate hand gesture detection.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Throughout the development process, we've achieved significant milestones, including mastering React, Tailwind CSS, Vercel, MediaPipe, and Sockets. Each accomplishment has not only enhanced our technical expertise but also inspired us to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in collaborative tools.
