Inspiration

Going along the theme of empowerment we decided to build something that shares the joy of all the colors in the world around us, with everyone.

Created during the USF Empowerment Hackathon '18 by Chaitanya Mattey alongside great teammates in Alexandra Wong and Sarah Lopez.

What it does

Highlights different colors of an image, to help colorblind individuals separate between them.

How I built it

Used OpenCV for image manipulation. Tkinter for Python GUI.

Things I struggled with

Picking up bunch of new tools, all (worth it) to solve an interesting problem!

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Seeing that individuals who were colorblind, using the application and finding it helpful! Working in a short time span with a great team, on an inspiring project. :)

What's next for ColorBold

Developing it from an image augmenting software to a video augmenting application, which can highlight colors in real time.
