Giving kids around the world the most portable of coloring books #FTK
What it does
Using the Leap Motion, you're able to paint the screen as if it was a coloring book. All you have to do is wave your hand around and the paint follows your fingertips. It's basically fingerpainting, but digitalized.
There are three modes to choose from: Free Draw with a blank canvas, Coloring Book with a great image to color in, and Therapy Mode where those going through light hand physical therapy can accomplish their sessions while having so much fun.
And like any good coloring book, it features both pictures to color and blank spaces for all your creative needs.
How we built it
We used the Leap Motion, Sendgrid, Javascript, and Python to bring it all together.
Challenges I ran into
Our main challenge we faced was finding a way to export the finished image and send it through an email
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We managed to have it so any user can locally save their image to their machine.
What I learned
Coloring is really fun. Also get some sleep. Also doing back-end development is very difficult.
What's next for Color With Friends~~
Improving functionalities and adding new features like different coloring templates and images.
