Inspiration
We wanted friends to challenge each other with everyday objects in a fun, suspenseful way.
What it does
One player scans an object that gets pixelated, then their friend has three tries to guess it. The image gets clearer and letters are revealed with each wrong answer.
How we built it
Lens Studio's Scan Module for object recognition, Turn-Based Component for multiplayer, and custom TypeScript for game logic and progressive mosaic effects.
Challenges we ran into
Object scanning needed careful filtering, and managing game state across async turns was complex.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The progressive reveal creates real suspense, and the turn-based flow feels smooth and complete.
What we learned
How to build async multiplayer games in Lens Studio and handle real-world object recognition reliably.
What's next for Mosaic Guess
Difficulty levels, win streak leaderboards, and themed challenges like "kitchen objects only."
