Inspiration

We wanted to create a simple assistant that helps diploma CSE students get college information and study support in one place.

What it does

Collegemate AI provides college information, syllabus details, topic search, and AI-based study assistance for Diploma CSE students.

How we built it

We built it using Python, JSON, Flask, Requests, and OpenAI API. The project is divided into separate modules for college information, study assistance, and AI features.

Challenges we ran into

Understanding AI technologies and APIs was challenging for us. We also faced issues while connecting the Flask API with the AI assistant and handling different syllabus data structures.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully integrated college information, syllabus data, Flask APIs, and AI assistance into one project.

What we learned

We learned about APIs, JSON, Flask, Python modules, environment variables, and basic AI integration. We also gained practical experience in building a complete project.

What's next for Collegemate AI

We plan to add a web interface, more study features, AI-generated quizzes, more semester data, and eventually deploy the project online.
